The National Transport University traces its history back to 1944, when the Kyiv Automobile and Road Institute (KADI) was founded in post-war Kyiv. At that time, it was located in a two-story building of the former Kyiv-Pechersk Men’s Gymnasium and had only 274 students at two faculties. Over the decades, the university has grown into a powerful educational and scientific complex: today, more than 17 thousand students study here, including representatives of more than 10 countries of the world, and in total, over its history, the university has trained more than 70 thousand specialists.
NTU became the first university in Ukraine to begin training specialists in road traffic management and transport management. Since 2014, the university has been a full member of the European University Association, and the EU Commission has awarded it with the award “For Management of a Large Partnership.” The campus has three academic buildings, five dormitories, a sports complex with a 25-meter swimming pool, and a library with a collection of about 550,000 copies.
